Technology blog #3 - Chapter 5

 In Chapter 5, it emphasizes the importance of making connections in schools. It also talks about the importance of creating a Personal Learning Network also known as a PLN. Personal Learning Networks are useful for educators to connect with their peers and mentors to share their thoughts and ideas. Different platforms like LinkedIn for example, can help educators to grow their LPN to create new connections with others that have like interests. Learning collaboratively is also a major topic talked about in Chapter 5, it encourages educators to collaborate with others to express their thoughts. It describes how Communities of Practice are also important to educators because they can share like interests and further learning. 

It also talks about the importance of social media too and making important that way as well. Sustaining strong connections is important and is emphasized in order to keep strong connections, educators should keep communicating, they should also continuous share ideas and also offer feedback on teaching practices for future improvement. Educators should also focus on deepening connections by collaborating on different projects and being mentors for other educators. A Personal Learning Network also are valuable when educators take in information from their peers but also provide further feedback. 

This would be helpful for my major in business because it can help me to collaborate with others in my field in the future to improve my performance in something. A PLN can be useful for communicating with peers, mentors, and colleagues and because of this it can open up other opportunities and further knowledge to help me grow in my career as well. These are key factors when it comes to growth professionally and in my future career.

You can collaborate with other users and create a board with everyones ideas. You can add to the board in real time, on your own with other users, or just completely use it for yourself. Miro helps to keep things organized like planning for future projects. Miro is very versatile and can be used for just about anything not just professional projects. You are able to add sticky notes, different shapes and put text in them, arrows and lines for different diagrams and so much more. Another great thing about Miro is that you can add as much as you want onto one board.
